No-bake Chocoflax Squares *recipe*

If you love chocolate, but have a propensity to eat a little too much (or you’re still wanting to eat something afterwards), this is a great way to make it go further, feel fuller for longer and get extra fibre in!

They are very simple to make - just 4 ingredients and no oven needed! And they’re also rich in collagen and magnesium - to support a happy gut and nervous system! What’s not to love?!

What you need

100g 70% dark chocolate

75g organic flaxseeds - then grind these using a blender

25g butter

10g (1 dessert spoon) of collagen powder - always go organic - I use Ossa Organic

How to make them

  1. Break up the chocolate and place it in a heat-proof bowl (which is large enough to sit over a saucepan)

  2. Fill a pan with boiling water and place on the hob, on a low heat. Then place the bowl containing the chocolate over the pan (make sure the bowl is not directly touching the water)

  3. Once melted add the butter and remove the pan from the heat. The butter will melt into the chocolate

  4. Add the ground flaxseeds and collagen to the chocolate butter and gently mix it all together

  5. Line a baking tray with baking paper

  6. Spoon the mixture onto the paper and press down firmly into a square slab

  7. Place into the fridge to cool for 30 mins

  8. Remove and cut into squares

  9. Keep stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days

Happy munching!
