Spiced Turmeric Latte *recipe*

The change in seasons and going into the colder months, definitely calls for more warming food and drink.
Hereโs how to make my Spiced Turmeric Latte (quantities are per person). Perfect as an afternoon alternative to tea/coffee (or any form of caffeine), plus it includes added protein from the collagen to sustain energy levels. Itโs also great to have in the evening to aid sleep ๐
What youโll need
1 cup of milk (full fat organic or an alternative milk of your choice)
1/2 a cinnamon stick
1/4 teaspoon of organic turmeric
1 heaped tsp of grass-fed collagen
Pinch of ground black pepper
Pinch of ground nutmeg
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
Maple syrup as a sweetener (optional)
How to make it:
Add a splash of water to a saucepan, then add the milk and cinnamon stick and leave to simmer on a medium heat for 5 minutes
Meanwhile add to a cup the rest of the ingredients
Pour the hot milk into the cup and mix well (using a mini whisk / fork)
Sprinkle with cinnamon and add a dash of maple syrup if desired (although itโs naturally sweet without this)
